Gypsum cardboard is a facing panel material that is a multi -layer material consisting of three layers. The facing wallpaper consists of paper or cardboard, and the inner layer consists of gypsum. The inner layer provides a straight and even surface, and the outer layers hold the mineral filler from destruction. It turns out that each layer organically complements each other. Gypsum cardboard is produced by three types: ordinary, moisture resistant and fireproof. Conventional drywall has a marking of GKL. It is used for installation in heated residential premises. He is the cheapest, but afraid of moisture, from which he gets wet and destroyed.
Moisture -resistant drywall is designated as VGK. It is produced for rooms with high humidity, since modifiers are introduced into the composition of its mineral filler, which reduce its moisture -absorbing ability. As well as the outer paper layers are impregnated with a water -repellent substance. Such drywall can withstand high humidity without destruction. It is mainly recommended for industrial premises, of course, you can install it in the apartment, but it will be more expensive than GCL and inappropriate.
Fire -retardant gypsum cardboard of GCllated is recommended for fire hazardous industrial premises. This effect was able to achieve by introducing fire -retardant fibers into the layers of drywall, thanks to which a self -shallow effect is achieved. Any type of drywall allows you to create even walls, partitions and even arches, only you need to decide on its type.
Also, sheets or panels of drywall perform various thicknesses: 6, 9 and 12.5 mm. At the same time, the thickest sheets are used for walls, and those that are thinner, for various arches and boxes. The panels (sheets) themselves are produced by 1.2×3 m dimensions. Here is such a material this drywall. In addition, its surface is perfect for pasting with wallpaper and, most importantly, does not require alignment.
