For a long time have passed the days when the parquet varnish was not presented in a wide range. However, times are changing. The modern market can offer a huge selection of a variety of varnishes. Moreover, these varnishes will be different in their properties, qualities and method of application.
Parquet varnish has its own classification according to the degree of wear resistance and brilliance. As for the shine, varnishes can be divided into matte, which reflect up to thirty percent of the world; semi -water, which increase this indicator to seventy percent; and glossy, which can be reflected by light.
It is advisable to apply varnishes with increased wear resistance in places where many people constantly go: shops, corridors. But with a low degree of stability, they are ideal for an apartment or at home.
Polyurethane varnishes have increased light resistance, high elasticity. They are ideal for those rooms that experience daily loads. Varnishes of this type do not spoil when a chemical fluid hit, not picky not at the temperature. However, during the application of varnish, it is necessary to protect it from humidity, otherwise the varnish will foam.
Water -soluble varnishes practically do not smell. They perfectly convey the texture of your parquet, but have low resistance to erasure, so they are best for rooms that do not experience heavy load.
The advantage of varnishes, which are based on oil resin, is that they do not slip. However, they dry for a very long time if the temperature is high or low and are toxic.
Acidly adverse varnishes are not picky for high humidity, however, a tart smell is distinguished.
If you are not happy with the parquet varnish, then you can see the parquet oil as an alternative. Usually the oil has an ecological composition, reliably protects the floor, in which case it can be easily replaced, however, parquet care after oil coverage becomes more complicated.
