Construction and decoration of round -shaped walls are non -standard decisions of the design of apartments and houses, and therefore some difficulties may arise in the manufacture of these structures.
The correct thorough selection of building materials will make it possible to easily build and finish round walls, regardless of the difficulty of work, as it might seem at first.
The choice of materials
The most standard ceramic bricks or foam concrete materials are usually used to build external walls. Small sizes of bricks allow relatively easy to build rounded walls. Of course, this process requires more time compared to the manufacture of direct walls. To build one square meter of a stone wall, it is necessary to use 120 bricks. In addition, the standard brick must be laid in this case at a certain angle, requiring special skills from the mason. Foam concrete blocks have one indisputable advantage – they are easily cut and, accordingly, are more often used to create an unusual shape of the walls.
Partitions in the building can be made of drywall material. For their arrangement, semicircular of metal or plastic profiles are used.
Material for the decoration of rounded walls
Often for cladding curved walls, small -sized decorative clinker brick is used. A more common and less difficult way is the traditional decorative plastering of curved walls.
Mineral wool usually serves as a heater for rounded walls. It is a rather elastic material that is easy to give a different form. The use of foam polystyrene entails a more complex “fit” under the round surfaces of the walls.
