You can protect metal from corrosion today using zinc coatings. But traditional galvanizing methods – electrochemical precipitation and hot zinc – do not allow you to apply coatings to overall objects. In order to protect metal products that have impressive dimensions from rust for 15-25 years, they began to use the cold galvanizing methodology.
Cold zing is the application of zinc -containing compounds – primers and other materials. As practice has shown, cold zinc is more reliably protecting metal elements from corrosion than traditional processing methods.
What is the attractive method of cold galvanizing? The fact that the protective coating can be applied anywhere, it is not necessary to deliver processed elements to the plant. You can expose welded seams, which increases the strength of the structure, while the area of the object does not matter. The compositions for cold galvanizing are compatible with all types of LCMs, “self -enslaving” occurs in the places of cracks and chips, that is, corrosion will not be guaranteed under the film.
Cold zing is used for metal structures standing in the open air. If necessary, you can process surfaces exposed to aggressive media and frequent temperature differences. Cold zing of the metal is carried out before further processing – sharp, profiling. After galvanizing, the price of which can be different to apply for application. At the same time, the cost of metal, galvanized according to the cold type, is not higher than that of traditional analogues.
To date, cold zing is common in construction. It is used to process bridges, metal frames. Apply liquid zinc for processing tanks, oil pipelines and gas pipelines.
