Building from gas silicate blocks: Features

November 15, 2019

The modern construction market offers all kinds of options for building houses. Blocks are presented in a wide range. There are expanded clay concrete, foam concrete, gas -mushroom, saw -bustling blocks and cinder blocks. In order to correctly make an estimate for construction, you need to know the answer to the question of how much the block weighs

. The weight of the foam concrete block directly depends on its density. With a block of 800 kg/m3, its weight is 28, 8 kg, and if the density of the foam concrete unit is 600 kg/m3, then 21, 6 kg.

Aerated concrete blocks have a number of advantages: ease of use, practicality. The heaviest aerated concrete block weighs a little more than 20 kg, the average weight-300-600 kg/m3. Weight of a standard block in size 250/248/88 – approximately 7-7.5 kg.

For the construction of houses in the city, consumers choose mainly expanded clay blocks. The builder with experience will always pay attention to such moments as strength, density, thermal conductivity, resistance to frost, geometry of blocks, lack of defects and weight. Weigh the block, this is the most elementary thing that can be done. It should be noted that the weight of the expanded clay block is very small. Blocks are lighter with better thermal conductivity, but their strength is less, and vice versa. The usual expanded clay, full-bodied block has dimensions 390/190/188 mm, and its approximate weight-16-18 kg.

Less popular in construction gas silicate blocks have a weight of about 20 kg, with sizes of 200/300/600 and density 500 kg/m3.

Opilic concrete blocks as a filler have wood production waste. The volumetric weight of the standard block is 500-900 kg/m3. Slag blocks are made according to the same method, only as a filler is a domain slag used. Their weight is 500-1000 kg/m3.
