Treatment facilities are divided into several types. They can be classified by the method of wastewater treatment.
Mechanical method.
With the help of filters, various sumps and captors, solid bodies are removed. Not so long ago, all industrial enterprises used this method, now this method is used for surface cleaning.
Chemical method.
Various reagents are used to clean the drains at treatment facilities that react with solid and liquid sewage. After that, sewage falls in the precipitate. Then cleaning is carried out mechanically. The disadvantage of this method is small efficiency, since the wastewater contains a large amount of sewage, different in nature.
Electrolytic method.
In installations of this type, an electric current is passed through wastewater, as a result, most polluting substances precipitate. This method is the most effective compared to the above.
Biological method.
This is a method that gives the best results. Bacteria are used here for the mineralization of pollution. It is used both in natural conditions and in treatment facilities. The first case takes place when irrigation of household lands by household drains. There, wastewater undergoes natural biological cleaning in the ground. As a result, fertilizers accumulate on the fields, which positively affects the crop. Now the biological method is used in the installations of wastewater treatment (USV). Such attitudes, in relation to the previously listed, are characterized by a high degree of cleaning. USV have a fairly small cost and dimensions. This allows their use in cottages, in summer cottages and other residential and production buildings that do not have a centralized sewer.
